I know that what I want to ask is a little off topic of the platform, but if someone can help me, I would be grateful. I recently got my hands on a canon camera, the Canon powershot A640. This camera is about 10-14 years old and I noticed a strange phenomenon when I open the lens to take pictures. Sometimes it works normally and all colors are ok. But most of the times the camera looks like below. Is it something that can be fixed? is the camera just very old?

Either your sensor is going bad, or more likely the ribbon for the LCD is lose or damaged. When you off load the photo does it look like that or only through the lcd?
