And here you can see the main i wanna start:
package main;
import java.io.File;
import org.apache.catalina.Context;
import org.apache.catalina.startup.Tomcat;
import org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.ServletContainer;
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
import javafx.event.EventHandler;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Button;
import javafx.scene.layout.StackPane;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
import org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.ServletContainer;
public class FX extends Application {
public static void main(String[] args) {
launch(args);
}
@Override
public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World!");
Button btn = new Button();
btn.setText("Say 'Hello World'");
btn.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
@Override
public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
System.out.println("Hello World!");
}
});
StackPane root = new StackPane();
root.getChildren().add(btn);
primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root, 300, 250));
primaryStage.show();
}
}
I tried to change the Java Versions to 10 and 11 with no difference. Also if i want to start a javaFX Project without maven in my IDE it works perfectly fine with the specifications above. Seems like maven is something missing.
The other posts on stackoverflow regarding similar questions did not help ether, i tried some of the solutions they provided for example configuring the run-configuratins...
CodePudding user response:
You have to remove all the duplicate javafx entries in your POM file. Also the platform specific entries are not needed. As far as I can see the single entry
<dependency>
<groupId>org.openjfx</groupId>
<artifactId>javafx-controls</artifactId>
<version>19</version>
</dependency>
should be enough.
Otherwise just follow the instructions here: https://openjfx.io/openjfx-docs/#maven
