After upgrading to Bumblebee, some of my projects now show this:

I found the solution - and hope it helps others.

Go to Android Studio Preferences - Build, Execute, Deployment - Build Tools - Gradle,

Change Use Gradle from: Specified location to properties file.

Then "Try Again".
