If you are sure you are using that software is the key combination, so may be there are some other software, lead to conflict, you can first take a look at input method

Many computer F12 and Insert are the same key, so the Alt + Insert and Alt + F12 is conflict, when we press the Alt + Insert actually touches the Alt + F12, everybody should know want to touch the Insert need to Fn (key) + Insert, so want to touch the Alt + Insert is Fn (key) + Alt + Insert,
