How to end task 'vmmem' in windows 10 task manager

Time:02-10

vmmem is cosuming lot of system memory and when I try to end this task in task manager I get this error "Access Denied" or similar admin error.

CodePudding user response:

Docker might be the reason. I shutdown 'vmmem' by the following steps

  1. Open Windows PowerShell as an Administrator
  2. Type wsl --shutdown

CodePudding user response:

vmmem is represented by virtual machines consuming your system resources. Turning off your virtual machines may decrease your vmmem resource usage.
