I'm trying to add this processing program to my HTML file, I did it with two other programs and had no problems so far. This code works perfectly on the Processing editor, but won't load in my website. I tried converting everything to p5.js already but it's way too complicated so I'd rather keep it as it is in a script tag.
The developer tools report these errors:
The first error refers to this part:
which in my code should technically be the beginning of this function:
void readField() throws IOException {
try {
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
String line;
for (int i = 0; (line = in.readLine()) != null; i ) {
String[] temp = line.split("\t");
for (int j=0; j<temp.length; j ) {
String[] xy = temp[j].split(",");
float x = Float.parseFloat(xy[0]);
float y = Float.parseFloat(xy[1]);
field[i][j] = new PVector(x, y);
}
}
in.close();
}
catch(Exception e) {
throw new IOException("no field.txt");
}
How do I fix this? I'm not too familiar with either language. Here's the rest of my code for reference:

CodePudding user response:
'in' is a reserved keyword in js. Change the variable name to something else and it should work
It is protected so that it won't break the functionality of for x in y
or similar
