R plot font issue

Trying to plot a histogram in R 4.2.0, the fonts are not shown properly enter image description here

Searching online couldn't find anything useful. Any hint, what is missing?

If you're trying to load a non-standard font, you might check out the font_add_google() function in the sysfonts package

Installing R-essentials using conda solved the problem. Just keeping this post with answer in case someone else might have the same problem.

conda install -c conda-forge r-essentials
