Android Studio Electric Eel refuses to compile build file google_maps_flutter

If I try to assign the auto-detected Oracle open JDK version 17.0.2 SDK, it won't let me save, complaining

SDK 'Android API 33, extension level 3 Platform' is invalid. Please configure internal JDK

I've checked my downloads and SDK 13 Tiramisu is present, so I don't know what that is about.

Try updating JDK Version to Android Studio default JDK version 11.0.10

Right, I'm away, with no access to my Mac, I found similar complaints on installing Electric Eel on windows, which I solved by following this answer.

I expect the Mac solution to be correct also and will be following it when I return to Job's dreamland.

If it works please report back. Sorry for no fully tested answer, but I know how urgent it feels to get going.
