VirtualBox on copy snapshot for a virtual disk to reduce disk usage method.

Time:04-23

A Windows virtual machine, there is now a virtual disk and a snapshot:

Win2008 copy - disk1. Vdi
Snapshots \ {86322544-3 electronics - 44 b5-8 bd7 1 cefe99a4d9a}, vdi

Is the snapshot file system boot after the update, I would now like to copy snapshot copy for win2008 - disk1. Vdi and delete snapshot, save disk space, how to do?

It's part of the configuration:

[win2008. A copy of the Vbox]

[VirtualBox. XML]

This I don't really understand

CodePudding user response:

Has been solved, methods:
Management - virtual media management, copy snapshot of a virtual disk, at this time the new virtual disk is the individual files,
Select a virtual machine, control - tools - backup, delete a snapshot backup, the virtual disk and a snapshot of the original is deleted, (without rest assured I do backup)
Management - virtual media management, the new virtual disk file registration, mounted in a virtual machine, at this time with a new virtual disk boot, no longer use the old virtual disk and snapshot,
