The mount of the mount error (5), Input/output error error?

Time:09-24

A master, there is a strange question, one server is CentOs6.3 system, the other in the same local area network (LAN) there is a Windows xp system mainframe (192.168.1.146), also Shared a folder, assuming that the folder name is share1,
The Shared folder in E disk, E dish is FAT32 format,
In CentOs system using the following command:
Mount -t cifs - o username=admin//192.168.1.146/share1/MNT

System prompts for the password, because the admin account is not set password, press the enter key, the system will report the following error message:
The mount error (5), Input/output error.
Refer to the mount. Cifs (manual page),

This server is mounted before other XP machine Shared disk, use the command is roughly the same, just when another one XP system is NTFS file format, and the admin account has a password,
Would like to ask you, for this problem, how to get to the address? Thank you very much!

CodePudding user response:

Hello, I met the same problem, before mount server SMB version is normal, after 2 days test don't know why, specify vers mount will quote this mistake, didn't find the reason, found that it is good to restart the server
Encounter this problem again next time, try:
1. Change the mount point mount
2. Restart the server, and once again mount
