CodePudding user response:
You should pass a ViewModelProvider.AndroidViewModelFactory to ViewModelProvider.
see documentation here: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/arch/lifecycle/ViewModelProvider
CodePudding user response:
I created class Fractory
public class LoginModelFactory implements ViewModelProvider.Factory {
@NonNull
@Override
public <T extends ViewModel> T create(@NonNull Class<T> modelClass) {
if (modelClass.isAssignableFrom(LoginViewModel.class)) {
return (T) new LoginViewModel();
}
throw new IllegalArgumentException("Unknown ViewModel class");
}
}
and then I create ViewModel in Fragment as under
mainViewModel = new ViewModelProvider(requireActivity(), new LoginModelFactory()).get(LoginViewModel.class);
it worked
