If not enterprise scale, like some affordable, can be used in a virtual machine to install the HMC, in IBM's official download an HMC recovery image with respect to OK,

HMC is not a must, don't do the VIO or powerVM them, direct use of physical machine, can need not the HMC, install the operating system by serial port directly, after the completion of the configuration IP address can remote login
