Ask a question about process context and interrupt context.

Time:10-29

On the afternoon of the Linux kernel design and implementation, the process context and the interrupt context then meng force, or feeling,

Since to save CPU state, that why at the time of the system call is' generation process execution '?
My understanding is: although all save the CPU state but save the amount and type of register, interrupt time to save more CPU status and stored in PCB (task_struct), interrupt recovery time as normal process switching from PCB restore context; But the system call is only equivalent to the function call and switch into kernel mode, just save a small portion of the register and have more authority,

CodePudding user response:

Do I understand it right? If not how to understand these two context? When the system calls and interrupt the CPU state exactly what are the changes?

CodePudding user response:

Or is this problem is not explained clearly, it should go to see the relevant content? I search the Internet times is only an abstract concept: the system call associated process, interrupt is not associated,
I wanted to know why not associated, where the system call is associated, is through what the correlation of the pain, every brother please help me, don't think have friendly relations ah
