I'm seeing a lot of similarities between MIKROS and Unity Analytics. Examples include:

Tracking specifics of audiences:
I currently use Unity Analytics. Is there any reason for me to make the switch to MIKROS? If so, what does MIKROS have that Unity Analytics doesn't?
CodePudding user response:
MIKROS and Unity Analytics share a lot of similarities. As game analytics services, they both tell you what your playerbase looks like, from whether or not they spend money, to how active they are, and how long they typically play your game per session. Both services also allow you to customize specific events that the default event logging system doesn't cover.
However, what sets MIKROS apart is that, unlike Unity Analytics, it can track players who use exploits or exhibit toxic behavior on a regular basis through its specialized scoring system that ranks players based on their habits and behaviors. MIKROS' "Reputation Score" will tell you whether a specific user regularly uses exploits or exhibits offensive behaviors. This allows developers using MIKROS to prevent such players from ruining your games' communities. The specifics of the "Reputation Score" are outlined here:
For the first time ever, you now have context. As developers, we always wonder how we are doing compared to our competitors, but never had the answer because we don't have any access to our competitor data. MIKROS has come up with a way to protect everyone's data and privacy, but at the same time provide context so that you can establish realistic business and product goals. MIKROS is highly protective of everyone's data and never explicitly tells you who your competitors are. They don't have to, because it's all about the numbers not the source. Not only that, but MIKROS will also give you tips about what your competitors are doing that works that you could try.
Expanding on the community aspect of MIKROS, everyone can also see the same common KPIs. The service offers "Global Analytics", which are basically trends that everyone using the service can see and benefit from. Some trend examples are answering questions such as
- What are the most popular game genres?
- What game genres earn the most revenue?
- What type of items are users purchasing most? Gold? Diamonds? Weapons? Other?
- What is the average percentage of hackers/trolls user makeup in all games?
- What is the average percentage of Whales (users who spend money) user makeup in all games?
- And more...
The list goes on and on. The answers to these questions are based on the data that EVERYONE contributes to the MIKROS ecosystem. That is why MIKROS is the only analytics service in the world that literally becomes more powerful with more developers that are using it. And the amount of analytics and insights that MIKROS provides to you is endless, because it is all based on how much data is fed into the system. The AI/ML will put everything together and expand the service automatically.
From my observation, MIKROS expands every 1-2 weeks based on the number of users who are actively using MIKROS today.
