We use the hardware watchdog, 88706 single chip microcomputer with atmega328p, bootloader using arduino official, because on the bootloader electric start time delay problem, so lead to electricity can't even feed my dog, dogs need to be less than 1.6 s, but because the bootloader start time is greater than 1.6 s (like because detect IAP upgrade time-consuming cause), so we MCU can't feed the dog in time, lead to electricity was reset after 1.6 s, so I'd like to add a delay circuit or choose a longer (more than 3 s) watchdog chip,
