Ask about the TTL value problem

Time:10-22

I met a problem in the experiment, a terminal xp operating system, through the software sends a multicast data under the same vlan a Windows xp computer to receive multicast data, another one with the Linux operating system terminal vlan cannot receive multicast data observed by caught software source of multicast packets in the TTL value of 1, ask why Linux terminal, unable to receive multicast data associated with the TTL value?

CodePudding user response:

Linux join multicast groups?
Multicast TTL should be 1, don't get nothing to do with TTL is

CodePudding user response:

Between two switches are static multicast mode, a switch to send data, receive data exchange, the other one is different and vlan, if the TTL value of 1, to switch should be discarded
