Everyone a great god, want to ask next everybody the cisco pt simulator inside, I want to configure rip, if say my IP is an interface 10.1.1.1 mask 24, why rip the 10.0.0.0 network configuration rather than 10.1.1.0, I if the interface is 192.1.1.1 24 mask, when the network is 192.1.1.0 configure rip? Is 10 network segment and the difference between a 192 segment itself, why the same mask, configure the network is not the same, thank you!!!!!

Suggest see RIP the section, what is A class A address what is A class C address, RIP would default notice what type of routing out, no auto - what is the summary this command,

RIP1.0 does not support variable-length subnet mask, it can only be used with the network address of the category, 10.1.1.1 is A class A address, although you have set up 24 mask, but the main class network mask is 8, 192. 1. 1. 1 is A class C IP, its main class network mask itself is 24, RIP2. 0 is support variable-length subnet mask, can use RIP2. 0 depends on whether the hardware support,
